This is a work of art. It's an aluminium steering column designed to suit the Holden EH and EJ models with either a steering box or a front mounted rack & pinion. It is manufactured from machined 6061 T6 aircraft grade billet aluminium, and then highly polished.
Each steering column is COLLAPSIBLE, so it will comply with ADR 10 rules. It has left and right self-cancelling indicators and the widely available 9 hole billet or 6 hole aftermarket steering wheels will fit right on this as the column also comes supplied with either a 6 or 9 hole steering hub and full horn contact support.
Alternatively, if you plan to fit an original Holden EH or EJ Steering Wheel and Hub, then select this from the available options. A modification is needed to be made to the back of the original wheel and your wheel will need to be sent to us and for this to be done.
Because the EH and EJ Holden originally had a 'one-piece' steering shaft and steering box, this column is designed to suit vehicles that have had a change of front end with a rack and pinion. The original steering box however can still be retained if preferred, but the steering box will need to be modified. We can provide instructions to you on how this can be carried out at your end, or you can send the steering box to us and we can perform the work for you for an additional $100. The steering box would then be sent back to you together with your new column, once it is all finished.
Please note that vehicles have a rack and pinion installed, these will be either a front or rear mounted rack. For rear mounted rack setups, we build the column differently and include a specially made firewall plate and lower column support. This is required for rear racks, as otherwise the angle from the column to the pinion is too great. This listing is for either a steering box or front mount rack setup. All of our EH - HR columns are built with double sealed roller bearings, a 4140 High Tensile precision ground centre shaft, fully machined housings and body using 6061 T6 aluminium, and a lower column support bracket, bush and grommet to suit the factory firewall plate (or our supplied special firewall plate for rear mounted rack setups).

Additional options include High & Low Beam toggle with High Beam Flasher, which can be selected from the build options menu.
Our columns come standard with a highly polished finish, however if you plan to paint the column yourself, choose the Linished Finish option. Alternatively we can have the column painted for you in a Satin Black.
Please let us know if you need your column customised further than what the options here allow. We can cater to most requests (length changes etc).
Please note, the column is not supplied with a under-dash mounting bracket as you use your original dash clamp mount and will clamp straight onto the column.
There's no cutting or modifications required to the vehicle structure to fit this, it goes straight in. All you will need is an auto electrician to wire it up as some electrical changes on the car may be required.
Please note this column is not a column shift. It is for floor shift.
This is the only billet steering column made in Australia. The other major brands of columns are actually a fabricated column made from stainless sheet metal and they are also often made in China. We have seen their columns fail time and time again (imagine getting caught out somewhere with a broken steering column as they often have weak plastic internals).
