Made to Order
This is a work of art. It's an aluminium steering column designed to directly suit the Holden HK, HT and HG models as well as Monaro variants. It is manufactured from machined 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminium, and then highly polished.
Each steering column is COLLAPSIBLE, and complies with ADR 10 rules. It also comes standard with self cancelling indicators and original specification output shaft to suit the factory rag joint. You can choose whether you want this column built with either a 6 hole (with a 70mm & 74mm PCD) or 9 hole (billet style wheel) hub to suit your aftermarket steering wheel, or alternatively it can be built to allow the original HK HT HG or GTS Steering wheel and hub to fit straight on.
The column is built to suit the factory HKTG rag-joint, however if a different output is required, let us know.
All columns are built with double sealed roller bearings, 4140 High Tensile precision ground centre shaft, fully machined housings and body using 6061 T6 aluminium.
Other options include High & Low Beam toggle with High Beam Flasher, or the 'full monty' which has High & Low Beam toggle with High Beam Flasher together with Windscreen Washer and Wiper control.
Our columns come standard with a highly polished finish, however if you plan to paint the column yourself, choose the Linished Finish option. Alternatively we can have the column painted for you in a Black Finish.
Please let us know if you need your column customised further than what the options here allow. We can cater to most requests (length changes etc).
Please note, the column is not supplied with a under-dash mounting bracket as you use your original dash bracket and will bolt straight to the column.
There's no cutting or modifications required to the vehicle structure to fit this, it goes straight in. All you will need is an auto electrician to wire it up.
Please note this column is not a column shift. It is for the HK HT HG with floor shift.
This is the only billet column made in Australia. The other major brands of columns such as RPC, Wysco and other No-Name brands are actually a fabricated column made from stainless sheet metal and they are also made in China. We have seen their columns fail time and time again (imagine getting caught out somewhere with a broken steering column as they often have plastic internals).
Each steering column is made right here in Australia and is made to order. Please allow approximately 10-12 weeks from order & payment to completion & despatch as each column is completely custom made. Your Billet Works Steering Column will be made for YOU.
